Backflow Prevention Systems Testing
Backflow prevention systems can be provided in many ways, but their purpose is to keep potentially contaminated water from contaminating your internal potable water supply, as well as keeping the public sources of water safe for drinking. Backflow testing is critical to ensure the system successfully performs this task.
If pressure fails or is reduced (as may happen if a water main bursts, pipes freeze or there is unexpectedly high demand on the water system) the pressure in the pipe may be reduced and may allow contaminated water from an irrigation system, boiler, sprinkler system, or other source to be drawn into the potable water supply system.
Absolute Fire Protection inspectors are experts on testing and maintaining backflow prevention systems. We have even gone one step further to have our technicians take advanced training in repair so we can also repair your device if necessary.
New York State Certified Backflow Inspectors
It is required by NY State Department of Health and local authorities that your fire sprinkler system is inspected at least once a year to minimize the liability of your facility contaminating the public water supply. Absolute Fire Protection has a large staff of NYS Certified Backflow Inspectors that can help you meet that requirement.
